The community of DeFi landing project Compound has voted almost unanimously to suspend support for 0x (ZRX), Basic Attention Token (BAT), Maker (MKR) and Yearn Finance (YFI), which have relatively low liquidity.
The decision has allegedly been made in the wake of the Mango Markets incident, during which an attacker stole more than $100 million thanks to oracle price manipulation.
According to the Compound Finance website:
"As a precautionary measure, we propose to suspend support for the above assets given their liquidity performance."
According to the author of the proposal, the removal of illiquid assets is also intended to stimulate the transition to the third version of the lending protocol, where "there are many more funds available to control risks."
