Dapper Labs, the company behind CryptoKitties, NBA Top Shot, NFL All Day, UFC Strike and the Flow blockchain, has blocked Russian accounts from its services, citing the latest EU sanctions.

The company wrote in a recent blog post that it had suspended not only the purchase, but also withdrawals. It said:

"Our payment processing and stored value service partner is subject to EU regulations and has directed us to take action on all accounts held by those impacted by the October 6 restrictions, consistent with EU law."

Dapper highlighted that it has not closed the accounts. Users impacted by these actions will still own their virtual items, including NFTs.

According to the latest EU sanctions package, it is now prohibited to provide crypto-asset wallet, account, or custody services of any value to accounts with connections to Russia, irrespective of the amount of the wallet.
