Cryptocurrency exchange BINANCE has hired an audit firm called Mazars to verify its on-chain reserves as cryptocurrency exchanges are trying to calm down their clients amid the FTX collapse.

A spokesperson for Binance told Bloomberg that the Paris-headquartered audit firm is "reviewing all information that we have shared publicly to date on Proof of Reserves (BTC) and will also be verifying future updates and tokens." They added:

"The first verification update for BTC will be completed this week."

Founded in 1945, Mazars is an international audit giant with over 40,000 employees in more than 90 countries. Mazars' US-based division, Mazars USA, also worked for former US President Donald Trump's company.
