The Blue Safari Group, a special purpose acquisition company, notified the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that it had deposited $575,000 in its trust to delay the acquisition of Bitdeer until December this year.
This is the second time Blue Safari delays the $4 billion SPAC deal, as initially it was expected that the company would acquire Bitdeer by June 14. However, Blue Safari requested a delay until September. It is unclear what forced the company to delay the acquisition one more time.
Founded in 2018 by Jihan Wu, Bitdeer is focused on providing cloud and mining services. iHodl first reported about Bitdeer's to go public in November 2021. The combined company is expected to be renamed Bitdeer Technologies Group and listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange.
