Vidente, a shareholding company of Bithumb, said it has held talks about a possible acquisition of its stake by FTX, CNBC reports.
Although Vidente declined to elaborate on the matter, it added that it is reviewing all possible options, including a full acquisition of Bithumb or joint management of the exchange. The news comes just a few days after reports said that FTX has been discussing the acquisition for at least several months now.
Earlier this summer, FTX Founder, Sam Bankman-Fried, said that the exchange plans to spend "billions" of dollars to acquire stakes in other companies in order to expand its product line.
